How to complain

You can make a data-protection complaint by contacting privacy@subathonos.co.uk. You do not need to quote legislation or use legal language. Explain what happened, what personal information is involved, and what you would like us to look into.

If you have a SubathonOS account, signing in gives you a tracked complaint thread, but we will not require you to create a new account solely to complain.

What we do

We acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days at the latest. We then take appropriate steps to investigate it, keep you informed where the investigation remains open, and provide a final response without undue delay.

If the complaint also contains a data-rights request, the rights request keeps its own legal deadline. Product-support issues are handled separately.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner. Contacting us first is encouraged so we can investigate, but it is not a condition of your right to approach the regulator.

What counts as a data protection complaint?

Examples include concerns about access to your information, inaccurate information, deletion, unwanted marketing, security, disclosure or sharing, children's privacy, how a data-rights request was handled, or another way personal information has been used.
